Fun fact: the Passat Sport is also available with a 5sp manual.

I want the Passat Sport's chassis and suspension and motor but with Honda's 6MT

I've always maintained that the Accord Sport was Honda's the best enthusiast car that no one knew about. I also happen to think the Passat is a bit underrated. So it is neat to see these two duke it out. In fact the Passat Sport might be a good candidate for my "Lost in the Crowd" column.

This is 2014.
Reflectors is embarrassing and projectors should be standard just out of safety reasons.

Indeed it is. Its too bad we've only got two 6ATs on the lot currently. I'll have to get them to DX one in when I buy mine. ;)

The Accord Sport I'd probably the one new Honda I would drive. However, it doesn't live up to its cost. As I said, the Accord sport feels like a stripped out EX, as where the Passat feels like an enhanced SE. Something very important once you start playing with that 25k threshold.

We didn't pay anywhere near $25k for my wife's Accord Sport. It does help that the manual is $800 cheaper than the CVT off the bat and the low desirability of the 6spd knocked a decent chunk off the MSRP.
That said, yeah the Accord Sport is liked a stripped out EX, but I like that. I didn't want any unnecessary features, but the one thing that would have been nice is a moonroof.

Basic MSRP says 23,7 for the Accord Sport. I still think that's a little much for what you get.
